Crawford’s Brigade at Cedar Mountain Battlefield Tour

Join the Cedar Mountain Battlefield Foundation on September 26th from noon to 3 PM for the “Crawford’s Brigade at Cedar Mountain” tour. The tour begins at Culpeper National Cemetery (305 US Avenue, Culpeper, VA 22701) to examine how the monuments to Brig. Gen. Samuel Crawford’s Federal brigade commemorate its heavy fighting during the 1862 battle. Participants will then drive to Cedar Run Baptist Church to see the perspective of Federal soldiers entering the fight. Finally, the group drives to the Culpeper Battlefields State Park visitor center where participants will walk the field through the brigade’s assault on “Stonewall” Jackson’s troops. Admission is $15 per person and advance registration is preferred.
