Cedar Mountain Debate Series: Who Was the Better Commander?

Watch and listen as two noted Civil War historians debate the strengths, weaknesses, and careers of Robert E. Lee’s two main subordinate commanders – Lt. Gen. James Longstreet and Lt. Gen. Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. Historian Greg Mertz will take the side of Longstreet while historian Frank O’Reilly will champion Jackson in what promises to be a fascinating an unforgettable evening. Both generals enjoyed smashing victories but also suffered humbling moments, and Frank and Greg will bring it all out as they argue for their general.
