Not looking for a new friend but still want to help out? We will be collecting donations for the Culpeper Animal Shelter during this event. They are specifically looking for: dog/cat food\, cleaning supplies\, treats\, and tough toys. \nCheck out the State Police Search and Rescue booth while you’re here and see one of the scheduled K9 demonstrations! Also visit Culpeper County Library’s spot to read to therapy dogs and check out some of our Civil War history children’s books. \nDon’t forget your own dog — they can do a scavenger hunt and learn alongside you about the brave canine companions of the Battle of Cedar Mountain. At the end of the tour your canine companion will be an official BARK Ranger! \nThe battlefield tours are rated easy and approximately half a mile. DESCRIPTION:Cedar Mountain 5K and 10K Rally is Cedar Mountain Battlefield Foundation’s (CMBF ) first race. CMBF is a non-profit\, all volunteer organization that is the steward of the Cedar Mountain Battlefield that relies entirely on donations and proceeds from events such as this to maintain\, preserve and interpret this community asset.\nThe Cedar Mountain Battlefield is more than just a historical site of a horrific Civil War battle on August 9\, 1862. It is also a 160 acres of nature reserve with a large variety of wildflowers and birds. It is a community park that is always open to the public with well-maintained trails for birding enthusiasts\, dog walkers and runners. And lastly\, it is very scenic with both wooded and open areas.\nBy participating in our race\, we are financially assisting CMBF in carrying out its stewardship mission.

DESCRIPTION:We will have multiple classes again this year\, once I get confirmation on the class names I will update the page.\nWe are changing somethings this year and will be charging a contestant fee of $10 \, spectators are free.\n\nWe will no longer be asking for pre registration\, it’s first come first serve for spots. If you plan to be parked next to someone please try and arrive at the same time as said person. We always try to accommodate as much as possible but we cannot hold spots open but for so long because the parking lot starts to fill up pretty quickly.\n\nWe will have photography again this year\, a moon bounce to keep the kiddos entertained.\nLast year we had issues with food vendors not showing up so we have remedied that this year and will be cooking on site. There will also be some food vendors for other options \, but we have back up just in case .\n\nThere will be vendors for shopping as well so make sure to show them some love also!\nWe cannot wait to see everyone and their rides this year. DESCRIPTION:Fun for all ages\, the tour will showcase both traditional and unique farms in the beautiful Blue Ridge foothills that make up Culpeper County. The event provides a wonderful educational experience and includes an array of hands-on activities and demonstrations. The 9 carefully selected farms and ag-related businesses on the tour reflect Culpeper’s unique agricultural industry and the millions of dollars in production\, wages and salaries generated by the agricultural industry in our county and state. \nThe tour\, a self-guided driving experience\, can be started at the Welcome Center located at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on Route 29\, or any of the participating farms. This year\, the Welcome Center will offer even more interactive fun! Enjoy free face painting\, antique tractors\, the Piedmont Railroaders model train display\, and the popular Culpeper Farm Corner featuring local products from additional farms. Culpeper Farm Bureau and FFA students will be on-site\, with Eastern View High School FFA students hosting interactive children’s activities on Saturday and Culpeper County High School FFA students leading a special activity on Sunday. \nAs in years past\, many of the sites will offer lunch or snacks for purchase along with plants\, herbs\, and gift shop items! There is something to delight everyone. \nOur new digital passport allows vistors to learn about activities and demonstrations\, map out their routes\, and keep track of farms visited. \nComplete your tour with a stop at one of Culpeper’s 7 wineries\, breweries\, and distilleries\, featured on our Sips of Culpeper beverage exploration trail. \nPlease note: Some farms are located on long driveways or private roads. Please use caution when driving to these farms and drive slowly! \n**The Farm Tour will take place rain or shine.
